PARTY Program
client:

The Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth (P.A.R.T.Y.) Program is a fast paced “tell it like it is” injury prevention program that educates teenagers about the outcomes of making poor choices. Based out of the Foothills Medical Centre, and funded by the Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone, the P.A.R.T.Y. Program offers full-day sessions three times a week to grade nine students. Students hear from a number of speakers including police, firefighters, paramedics, registered nurses, rehabilitation staff, and injury survivors.  Together they bring the students face to face with the reality of poor choices.

challenge:

The PARTY program maintains a nationwide presence, with each regional program steering public communication initiatives respective to their areas.  Though other regions had ventured into internet communications in the past, the Calgary based PARTY Program wanted to develop a website which could be viewed as a flagship website nationwide – all while tackling the challenge of keeping a bunch of teenagers interested!

solution: The Commerx website development team in Calgary was tasked with giving the website a fresh look and feel while employing existing imagery and assets where ever possible.  Bright vibrant colours and a streamlined navigational structure resulted in a website worthy of the PARTY Program cause – oh ya, and the kids like it too.
