Robert is the Founder, President and CEO of Commerx Corporation, a complete internet services provider delivering effective and accessible Corporate Communications, Software Development and IT Services. Prior to Commerx, Robert founded HFI flooring, a national distributor of floor covering, which was sold in 2001.

Apart from Commerx, Robert is a business leader and the current President and CEO of Calco Capital Corporation, a private venture capital firm and chairman and co-founder of Calco Environmental Group Ltd., the largest manufacturer of environmental remediation equipment in North America.

A strong advocate for businesses donating their excess capacity to charities, Robert and his wife Jill have founded a number of programs designed to assist others including the YPO Homes of Hope program and the YPO marriage Program. Robert has instilled that same spirit of community service into Commerx day to day operations.

Continuing his commitment to the community, Robert is the past International President of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), a former International board member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and currently an international board member of L3.

 

Robert has been featured in a number of publications including Profit magazine, Nikkei, Japan times, Japan Venture, Nation (Bangkok), Calgary Herald, Financial Times (Barbados) and is a featured speaker on the internet, environment, business, entrepreneurship, wine, and business process automation.
